Sweetree Ink – Custom Silk Screening

If you are in the market for custom silk screening for t-shirts, you should know about Sweetree Ink.  You may be familiar with Dave Tree from the band TREE, or more recently SUPERPOWER. What you may also not know is that Dave is an accomplished visual artist who has been running a silk screening business for years (House of Ill).

In March 2010 Dave partnered up with Tyler Sweet to form Sweetree ink based out of Allston MA.  They provide screen printing and graphic design services for businesses, bands, and anyone else who needs custom printed fashion and accessories.

I recently had the need for some t-shirts with custom logos printed on them and out of the several silk screening houses Sweetree had the best prices.  I had 42 shirts (a pretty short run) printed, one color on really nice quality soft American Apparel shirts (the super soft cotton expensive ones) , and he only charged $9.00 per shirt.  The bonus was that he turned the job around in three business days.  That was a total surprise.  I really wasn’t expecting to see the finished shirts for a couple of weeks so I  guess that is what motivated me to write this glowing endorsement for them.

Dave can basically print on anything.  He has proved that with his incorporation of silk screening into his personal art.  This benefits us because he can put your chosen image on a t-shirt, a suit jacket, a skateboard, or just about any surface you can imagine, and I get the impression from Dave that the more unusual the item to be printed, the cooler he thinks the job is.

So get yourself some custom hoodies, hats, bags, shirts… Hell, have that old suit that you never wear turned into a walking art/political statement and be the center of every pop art/hip culture event.
